Entertainment and Involvement

The Bonnie Kate Community Theatre is a volunteer organization that plans events and theatrical productions to be performed on the Bonnie Kate Stage or in other venues. Auditions are open for anyone and will be posted on Facebook, Instagram and the Website.

The BKCT has monthly meetings in the Bonnie Kate meeting room on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00. Renee Christian is the acting director of the Bonnie Kate Community Theatre. Join in the fun!

The Bradley family was in for a pleasant, though predictable holiday until the Herdman family invade the Church’s Christmas Pageant. Will Grace’s directorial debut result in the church burning down or will it be The Best Christmas Pageant Ever? Come to the Bonnie Kate this December to laugh and get a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are an important part of the theater experience. Set building, costume design, stage managing and tech support are all a part of the play performances. Volunteers are also needed for working concessions which, can be for one or more evenings of performance schedule. Volunteers are also needed to talk to potential businesses for advertisements in the programs which are available to each audience member. Consider being a part of the Bonnie Kate Volunteers where you can make new friends and apply your efforts to a good cause.

Auditions

Auditions are held 6 to 8 weeks before the production takes place. The directors wish to make this a comfortable experience for all involved. There will be two or more dates scheduled as options for auditioning. Wear clothing and shoes that are easy for movement and plan to enjoy yourself.

If you wish to be considered for a solo, please prepare a short musical selection relevant to the style of the musical. Solos are not mandatory for those auditioning for ensemble roles.

Directors may not require specific monologues to be prepared ahead of time unless the actor desires that for reading or hearing difficulties.
